Jeep Commander is the most spacious model among all Jeep SUVs, with three rows of seating for up to seven passengers. Available in Base and Limited models, Jeep Commander is considered as a superb trail-buster comparing to the other SUVs in its size class. The Jeep Commander has earned praise from critics for its off-road capabilities, as well as the classic good looks, roominess and effortless powerful engine choices.
Jeep Commander Year to Year Changes:
- 2008 Jeep Commander: Offers a more powerful V8 engine. And for the first time, the Sport model now has standard five-passenger seating, and an optional 3rd-row bench. Standard on Limiteds and optional on Sports is a 305-hp 4.7-liter V8.
- 2007 Jeep Commander: A new top-of-the-line model offers new features such as remote-start and a power liftgate. Called the Overland (a name used by Jeep before), the top model featured unique exterior and interior trim. Chrysler's Hemi V8 was standard in the Overland and optional for the Limited model. Low-range gearing was standard on AWD Overland and Limited Commanders.
