Army Jeeps for Sale
Army Jeeps were created the World War II. The US Army needed a vehicle for transporting Army personnel in the battlefield by the time the World War II was dawning. Certain parameters in durability in a variety of climates and terrains had to be followed in building such military vehicle. In order to fill the contract for the lowest cost, the military sought bids from three major automotive companies at that time: American Bantam Car Company, Ford Motor Company and Willys-Overland. Although American Bantam Car’s “Mark II” design were originally accepted by the Army, the model didn’t quite fit into the Army’s requirement for the engine. So eventually Ford and Willys stepped in and each built over 300K Jeeps for the Army.
Nowadays Army Jeeps are still popular among fans who want to restore the Army Jeep to its former glory.
